Q: My brother and friend were asked to clean out a house and garage that were packed full of belongings from five generations of “hoarders.” We found many items of value, from antique circus posters to unique antique milk bottles. We haven’t been able to identify this circular lighter that folds out from inside itself. On the front is a standing lion with a large crown overhead surrounded by a wreath. The letter “L” is on one side of the lion, and the number “7” is on the other side. The date “1650” is at the bottom. The lighter is about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. What can you tell us about it?
