Vintage Sign

Q: I found this vintage hand-painted sign dated 1864 and would like to know more about it. It looks like the seal President Thomas Jefferson used on some of his letters and documents. It includes his motto, “Ab Eo Libertas A Quo Spiritus,” (Latin for “He who gives life gives liberty,”) with “Sharpsburg” and “Gettysburg.” […]
