Hello All!
I have a Buddha sitting on a pedestal that measures 3-3/8″ X 2-1/2″ X 3-7/8″. The piece also weighs 10.5 ounces. The statue has a tag on the bottom with only numbers on it. I am trying to identify the composition, date, and value of the item. I do not have experience with carvings and such and was wondering whether it is bone, alabaster, ivory, resin etc, Thanks for your help!

Celluloid would be the last idea on my list !! The link has a few ways to determine which you have if it is a plastic type !! They have been making these using ground bone with a binder for many years !! See if the methods in the link help with ID !!
