Can anyone I.D. the attached statue. I believe the material to be alabaster with overall height of 13 inches. There are no marks or other identifying information.

You should do OK selling it,,depending on what people are looking for !! Its usually just a matter of personal taste as to who wants what !!

That weight is hard to imagine sitting on someones furniture !! And that weight is for a solid block !! But maybe it does !! Most of these that are unsigned are Italian imports and a few are signed !! Mexico also does a lot of alabaster carving !! No way to even guess who made it without a signature !! Most all of the selling sites have alabaster figurines of all types !! The classical/historic and religious figurines seem to do best price wise !!
Where did you get this one ??

Alabaster weighs 140 to 170 lbs. per cubic foot. I think it fair to think the statue is at least 1/6 of a cu. ft. or somewhere around 20 lbs.

You are right. The actual weight is 19.8 lbs. and my scale is correct. It is a stone material and I can think of several stone materials that weigh that much.
