Hello,
Can anyone help me with the value on this 3 piece parlor set or any tips on how I can figure it out on my own? I have been searching online off and on for years but I can not find anything quite like it. It belonged to my great grandmother who lived in Cincinatti, Ohio in the late 1800’s/early 1900’s. Thank you so much in advance for any help!

Thank you so much marthahill for taking the time to respond. You are very kind. I cannot find a mark on the underside, but there is old fabric nailed under each one. Perhaps there is a mark on the inside, under the fabric? I will take pictures in the daylight and upload, smaller ones! The detail in the center oval is not painted. It is inlaid wood and mother of pearl. Thank you for the tip on rewording my search phrases, with a search using pierced splats, got me a lot farther than previous searches. I am starting to think that the set is English Edwardian era. Still no idea what the value would be but it’s a start. Thanks again!

Have you looked at the bottoms to see if anything is written there ?? Its not likely but check anyway !! There were so many mfrs of these sets that tracking down yours without knowing where it was purchased,, or having the name on it is nearly impossible !! The reason you can`t find one similar is likely because of the wording you used in the search !! I go through many different phrases at times,, not all are successful !! The obvious thing to look for would be the pierced splat but then,, there are many variations of those !! Is there paint detail in the center oval ?? Can you take a pic of the center detail and reduce the size to 30kb !! The size of the first pics takes forever to load !! Some of us still have dial up out here in the country !! A pic of the underside of one of the chairs would help as well !!
