I am trying to identify my grandparents old lamp. It is marked on the bottom but I can’t make out the mark. Any information would be appreciated. This is my first post. Hopefully, I am following the rules…I am trying to add a picture but It won’t upload???? The lamp is ceramic with a basket weave pattern. It has two sockets for light bulbs. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Rewiring is a simple fix and does not hurt the lamp at all !! In fact most all vintage lamps are rewired before use for safety !! Ask your parents what kind of shade it had and find one to fit with similar style and use it, after it is rewired of course !! Value on these is not much but since it was your grandparents its a nice keepsake that you can use !!

Nope. That is all I have. It has quite a few chips in the ceramic. I love it but would never plug it in. The plugs look a little frightening…

Kind of looks like it is scratched into the ceramic !! If so I do not think it is a factory name or mark !! A factory mark would be either stamped or impressed into the base when it was made !! It is more likely the decorators name !! Do you have the original shade ??

Thanks. I will try to get a good picture of the mark.

The cord and plug looks like 30`s or 40`s !! Can you try to take a pic of the marking on bottom ?? That will not tell the maker of the lamp itself but may tell who made the ceramic part !! Most everyday lamps were assembled at one place but the ceramic or glass was not made by them, nor were the electrical components !! Each piece was made by a different company that’s why lamps are hard to tie to one maker unless high end lamps !! Even then its difficult !! The mark on bottom may help if I can read it !!
