I need help in identifying these two pieces of furniture..

Ah, there it is, then.
Please be assured that MY intentions were to have you describe the articles in question in more detail. There is really no way that anyone with even a smidjin of experience dealing in antique/used furniture can, with any certainty, ascertain much more than a glancing opinion of these items from a mere photo.
Here’s the best that I can do. I am judging a book by its cover here.
photo#1 looks to be a badly refinished, factory made, in the style of Danish Modern side chair most probably from the early 1960’s.
photo#2 looks to be a nice dresser or bureau in the empire style, most probably factory made in the 1890’s or early part of the 20th century. It looks to be very refinished with much of the original patina/color/paint gone.
So, that’s it. The most accomplished appraiser of furniture would probably say more but with only forty one years in the antiques business I don’t think that I’M qualified to make any more of it than that.
‘By now……..

If you would of said that in the first place instead of your sarcastic remarks I would of understood that you were a serious forum member instead you are a clown. Secondly, if I knew what these two pieces of furniture were: date, materials, wood, 1900, 1800, etc. I would not be asking would I?. Your response insulted my intelligence and you coerced others to do the same….Next time don’t respond to my inquiries…

Had you given us more info than a couple of pix perhaps the answer would have been more sustaining. You’re not helping your cause by being caustic. Try giving a bit more particulars. ie factory vs hand made, approximate condition, type of wood/tacks/fabric used, do the feet have casters/ etc. etc. It all helps to determine what you have there.Keep smiling! – The Clown

IF I WANTED THE OPINION OF A CLOWN I WOULD GONE TO THE CIRCUS….

I believe the first one is a chair and the second is a bureau or dresser…
