I uploaded 5 photos of the ice box but it is a mystery to me why only the last photo (the back of the unit) was the only one to show up. I will try again. Further online research indicates that a Mr. Haskell, a Chattanooga business man and Harvard graduate, organised the North Star Refrigerator Company in 1912. Those attachments do not work here !! But I can see the back pic,, it is not what I thought it might be !! North Star Refrigeration Co was from Richmond Indiana,, not Chattanooga Tenn !! The Tennessee furniture company purchased the company as well as the Odorless Refrigeration Company and two other furniture companies about 1920 !! This is according to the industrial engineering PDF files I found as well as files on refrigeration !! It really is a bit confusing since little is written about any of them !! It did not say that the North Star Refrigeration Co was located in Chattanooga,, Just that they bought the company !! Another file gave the location as Indiana !! I am not sure any of it is correct !! However many did continue using the company name after a purchase if the rights to the name were included with the purchase !! It said that Tennessee Furniture Co. was the largest in the area after the purchase of the other 4 companies !! Oddly there was another North Star Refrigerator Co. in Niles Michigan at that time !! Let me see if I can find more tomorrow !!
Sorry,, I assumed you were using “refrigerator” in your search to find others made by the company !! Usually they are listed as Ice boxes and are much easier to track down !! But in this case,, nothing is easy to track down !!
