I have a vintage, original, three door oak ice box with the manufacturer’s plate: “North Star Refrigerator Company, Chattanooga, Tennessee.” I have not been able to find out any information about this piece on the internet and would appreciate any help.

There is a problem with that !! An ice box was not a refrigerator !! Need to see the name plaque on it I would assume it is most likely a later reproduction !! Made like the oak ice boxes but used for decorative purposes only !! These were made well into the 1970`s !! A pic of the box and the interior would help as well !! Does it have a drip pan ?? All ice boxes would have had one !! Or at least all the ice boxes that were actually used had some way to eliminate the water as the ice melted !!
