they have real gold on and there hand painted and were my great great grandmas but thats all i know:P
there are millions of hand painted plates out. Can’t really answer your question with out a few pictures. Any mark’s in back of plate? They could be limoges which are worth quite a bit or Japanese. Without a mark it’s hard to give you an answer
