The item is by Goebel, yes, but has nothing to do with their Hummel figures. “Z” was normally their code for sugar bowls and toothpick holders and “MUS” implies “musical”.

Sorry I didn’t upload the pictures with marks on the bottom. I have tried to research the incised marks on the bottom but can’t find anything. It looks to me like Z MUS 10. The other marks in blue V with large bee, and the (R). To the right of the (R) is another incised mark 87. My mother bought this music box in 1953 when we lived in Germany .

The pictures show the markings on the base of the chimney & ashtrays. The other shows the music box. The music box works and the cat moves in a circle.

I do not think people will answer as there is not enough information (and images) to go by. Typical point of query here: really Hummel or “only” Goebel? Condition? Mark type? etc …
