There is a program I use called “FastStone Capture”. When I want to upload a picture I bring it up on the screen and then use the program to “cut-out” the part I want. It’s then generally the right size. I posted two pictures of a pitcher-vase that way and reduced each from 2.14mb to 48 KB & 58 KB each.
