i have a set 5 dishes made in japan with no markings on them , they are identified as essential dish’s according to the brochure that was given to me with them. they are about 6″ x 4″ maybe 3/16″ thick, top layer maybe 1/16″.
I have searched on the internet for information on them to no avail .
the company capishell is not found on the internet neither.

Well,, my friend couldn`t read it !! Are you in the USA ?? If so,, I would take the brochure to any Japanese market and ask if someone there can read it !! I know many do not speak Japanese but some of the older generation probably can tell what it says !! Mid century there were many Japanese imports and a lot of the companies were small and are not in business today !! That makes finding them almost impossible since keeping records was not a priority !!
Capishell may not be a company name at all since these are made of Capiz Shell Which is frequently written as capishell !! These shells were a popular hobby craft item in many areas of Asia !!
