I have an original oil painting from 1886 by H C Davis. H G perhaps. Anyone have any idea what the value might be. Frame is likely original and is in good but not great condition. Painting is fine. No damage other than age and dust. I don’t want to sell it in our family’s estate sale if it is something especially valuable. Just looking for some advice and any information on potential value. Resources too.

Thanks for letting me know !! Remember prices in the UK are different from prices here !! Furniture here that would bring close to a grand sell there for firewood !! Seriously !! I have some contacts in the UK if you would like me to check further but sales here are usually much better !!

If you have time that would be great. I’m not going to sell it at the sale. I may price it what I think it’s worth haha and if it doesn’t sell I don’t care. But IF you find time to find more info that would be awesome!! No biggie if not. 🙂 If I had more time right now I’d happily do more but I’m overwhelmed as it is pricing an entire farmhouse FULL of items & running it only with my Dad. Wish us luck EEEK
