Hi, I have this framed drawing by Walter Dendy Sadler 1854 – 1923. My Mom had typed up some info on the artist’s life & history. I was hoping someone might be familiar with the artist & could direct me on how to assess the potential value. I am having an estate sale and need to know if I should sell it in the sale or keep it and sell it elsewhere. I just have no idea on it’s value and people are going to be asking…

Some of his work gets pretty pricey !! I agree that you should sell this separate from the estate sale !! The pic you posted is huge and when they are that big any detail is lost !! So i can not tell if its a drawing or etching !! Might be wise to take it to a decent art gallery and let them check it !! Helps to know what you are selling !! Also,, depending on how it is framed,, see if there is anything written in the border !! I would not leave it at the gallery !!

If you have an email I can send them that way. I understand if you don’t want to share that. Just let me know.

It might be worth selling independent of the estate sale !! Just do a google search for his work !! Are you sure its a drawing and not an etching ??

This link does not work !! Can you post the pic here ??

I’m going to try and post the pics again. As a reply. Let me know what you think if I’m successful. Pretty certain it’s a drawing. I think the painting and this should be saved for later. Theyere too special to just sell for crumbs
