Found a pair of what appear to be antique hammered brass candlesticks with ceramic insets. There is an identifying mark on the bottom that appears to date them to the late 19th century. They are assembled in pieces with a long bolt through the center and a square nut on the bottom. When disassembled, each piece has the same markings hidden where they meet. Was wanting to try to find out more if anyone has any information.

Yes these are cast brass candlesticks !! The mark is just a design registration mark !!
The numbers and letters on the diamond and the one in circle above are still too small for me to see and this site does not enlarge pics !! Did you say the ET or whatever the letters are are the same on both ?? See if one is more clear than the pic !! Initials are not usually a makers mark but are a finishers mark !! Similar to initials or other marks found on pottery that are decorators marks !!
Can you just look at the diamond with the circle at the top and tell me what letters or numbers are there including the circle at top ??
