There is no lid, it is one piece. I will take an additional pic tonight when I return home of the bottom and inside. It is open on the bottom.
I was mistaken, the inside is glazed. I've attached pics of it from the inside and from looking down on the top of it. It appears the gold glob of paint on the top could have been added as well?

This is about 9" tall, small holes in it, including on the top. There is a knob on top. It appears to be a lid of some kind, however it has scalloped bottom, so doesn't fit flush with anything.
