My mother recently passed away and in going through her things, I came across a peach or marigold opalescent Carnival glass bowl with no markings or design from what I can tell. However, it does have two random looking lines on the bottom center of it. I do not know if it is just a defect in the glass or if it means something else. My mother was an only child and her mother was an only child whose mother came to the US from Bohemia when my grandmother was only 2 years old. I have came across other items that are from Bohemia dating in the 1930’s. How can I find out when and where this bowl is from? Please help me

Thats right !! Many mfrs did nit mark the irridescent glass because it was basically an inexpensive item !! Thats why it was used at carnivals and in my case,, the state fair !!
Except for a few of the rare items its pretty inexpensive today !! Rare colors and patterns are the exception !!

Simillar to this one !! Many made some form of carnival glass and were unmarked !! I have pitched a few nickels at them !! Never heard of any from Bohemia but it is possible !! Just iridescent glass ware !! Little value but nice heirloom !! No way to know who made it if unmarked and no pattern !!

Marthahill, thank you!? In all of my recent searches to find answers, I discovered that most (if not all) of the Carnival glass makers, at some point, didn’t use their signature mark. The article that I read said that made it difficult for even experts to identify the glass. The bowl that I have doesn’t have any sort of stipples or designs on it whatsoever. I will see pics of some that resemble it until I make the picture bigger and then I can see theirs have stipples or flowers etc?
