Cluthra glass is a two-layered glass with small bubbles and powdered glass trapped between the layers. The Steuben Glass Works of Corning, New York, first made it in 1920. Victor Durand of Kimball Glass Company in Vineland, New Jersey, made a similar glass from about 1925. Cluthra was made in many different colors. Durand's pieces are listed in the Durand category. Related items are listed in the Steuben category. For more information, explore our identification guides for Steuben and other glass types.
