Doorstops

Doorstops

Doorstops have been made in all types of designs. The earliest doorstops known were used in Europe in the 17th century. The vast majority of the doorstops sold today are cast iron and were made from about 1890 to 1930. Most of them are shaped like people, animals, flowers, or ships. Reproductions and newly designed examples are sold in gift shops.
